Well yesterday was pretty great, even in addition to cancer-free bills of health, with the Elwins in the park, amazing comedy at the St Lawrence Centre for the Arts and then the F-Holes at the Monarch Tavern to wrap it all up.
My favourite part? When heading into the Monarch and getting a bag check and having to pull out the oversized mason jar with a bunch of cut-up limes in it, saying (as it leaked on my hand) "this is just an empty jar with some limes". The bouncer just smirked and said, "that's...interesting". But then, some other (almost cute in a dangerous way) dude leaned in and was like, "do you mind me asking, what was in the jar?" And I responded, in the most charming way, "I was drinking mojitos in the park" before floating inside on a cloud of imagined Pinterest boards, woven together by Zooey Deschanel's eyelashes and completely becloaked in preciousness. IT WAS JUST LIKE AN INDIE ROMCOM.
