It's almost the end of Virgo-rama 2012 so here's this little ditty for all my fellow Virgos out there. Don't know if it's my inherent virgocity that draws me to other Virgos but, man, have I got a lot of Virgo friends. Some of my best friends are Virgos! Also, most of my friends' kids are too. SPOOKY. In short, if you're a Virgo and you want to be my friend, your chances are pretty good. Capricorns on the other hand? lol, dream on.

It's been a year since Lana Del Rey unleashed Video Games on the internet and a year since the internet unleashed its concentrated mean girl vitriol back at her. Next time you know a kid getting bullied (or maybe the next time you get bullied?) just remember Lana and how it only took a year for the constant barrage of venom to subside. A year is nothing, guys! You might live to be 90! Or 100! Drink lots of water! Besides, now she's doing tracks with some of the hottest players in the game. And there was speculation that she was dating Axel Rose. All right, nice! Just kidding, I'm pretty sure that is Dante's 10th circle of hell (Dating).

'Walking Dead' Season Three Trailer Posted by Alex

Looks considerably better than last season's mythical forest ennui but lol Entertainment Weekly: "The greatest thriller ever produced for television". Did anyone else have a really hard time figuring out who the blond girl was? It took me the whole trailer to remember Hershel's silent family of extras. Congrats Hershel daughter, you just got more lines than T-Dogg had in the whole second season! But it was nice to see old T-Dogg again although by the looks of it he's gonna get ate or be just as ignored as he was at the farm. Plus Merle's back! Did not see that coming.

*UPDATE* Alright, so the video has been pulled and now we know why, because Wayne Coyne did not have Erykah Badu's permission to publish the video. I'm writing a longer post about the issues and in the meantime I've taken down the picture of Badu I screen capped from the video. I'm sincerely sorry for taking part in what seems to have been the appropriation and exploitation of two Black women's bodies. Shame on Coyne and the Flaming Lips.

We all have murky memories from our childhood, memories we're not entirely sure aren't just dreams we've convinced ourselves happened, so weird and patchy that it could really go either way. Such was the case of The Peanut Butter Solution.

Two Thoughts On Luhrmann's "Great Gatsby" by Alex Snider

1. I am disappointed so far by the soundtrack. Yes, there are only two songs featured in the trailer and one is from Watch the Throne of which my love knows no bounds, but man, the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack was *the* definitive cassette of my teen years. I expect more. (Incidentally I also had my first kiss – typo-ed kiss to be kill, yikes – in Romeo and Juliet when it played at the revue theatre where tickets cost $2.25. Those were the days. Unfortunately the boy turned out to be horrible and after we broke up he took to alternately calling me "tight" and a "whore". That doesn't even make sense.) Maybe Luhrmann should just use that soundtrack over and over? When the fireworks exploded I couldn't have been the only one expecting Kym Mazelle's Young Hearts Run Free to start playing.
